Gorgeous (Boh lee chun)

Posted in Movie on June 6, 2008 by yhat

Two gorgeous actors teamed up in this not-so-gorgeous story — but the acting are all good though. ;) Some scenes made me laugh and the fighting scenes were really Jackie Chan’s style.

I became a fan of Shu Qi when I saw her So Close movie. She was more than gorgeous in that movie and her character is so cool.

And Jackie Chan is a fav Asian actor of mine for so long.

Summary:

A girl name Ah Bu (Shu Qi) lives in a small fishing town in Taiwan. One day, Bu finds a floating glass bottle with a message that says “Do you know I’m waiting for you? Albert” and an address in Hong Kong. Convinced that this is her destiny, Bu travels to Hong Kong to meet Albert, only to find the he’s gay who intended the note for his ex-boyfriend.

But all is not lost as Ah Bu soon meets dashing multi-millionaire C.N. Chan (Jackie Chan) when she helps him ward off a gang of toughs hired by his corporate enemy. Chan, single and a bit lonely, quickly finds himself attracted to Bu. Bu discovers she likes Chan as well and that’s when things become sticky for the couple.

my favorite TV series

Posted in Movie on May 31, 2008 by yhat

I made a collage of my favorite tv series.

I’m a big fan of Alias ever since. I love the kind of drama spy agents has in this series.

I love Will & Grace, my only favorite comedy show. Sean Hayes is my favorite in the show.

I keep track on CSI episodes, may it be cable or on local channels.

And later, I was introduced to Prison Break which is my current number one favorite. :)

I bought this yesterday as a gift for myself. :) I was planning to buy a pair of knee socks but I can’t find a good one so ended up with a pink flip flops. I wanted a black one but they all look the same and too simple — so here I bought pink ones instead. Anyway, I like it.

No — I love it. :)

CJ7

Posted in Movie on May 10, 2008 by yhat

CJ7

The movie is about a young boy named Dicky (Jiao Xu) who lives in a squat area with his father, Ti (Stephen Chow), who works hard in a construction just to send young Dicky to an elite private school, where the boy is bullied by the other kids for his shabby wardrobe and unwashed appearance. Ti can’t afford to buy Dicky any expensive toys or new wardrobe so he goes to the best place he knows to get new stuff for Dicky–the junk yard. While checking out new junk stuff in the yard, Ti finds a mysterious orb and brings it home for Dicky to play with. To his surprise and disbelief, the orb reveals itself to Dicky as a bizarre “pet” with extraordinary powers. In school, Dicky abruptly named it as CJ7.

I like this movie. It’s funny and I actually cried.

Did you know that Jiao Xu is a 9-year-old girl cast as a boy? Yes, she is. She’s cute, funny and I love the acting. :)

Remember When by Judith McNaught

novel

When I was still studying, one of my hobbies was constantly borrowing novels from my favorite authors. The only romance novelist I like is Judith McNaught. I already read 10 out of 14 of her novels. Correct me if I’m wrong by the way but as far as I know she has 14 novels since 1983. At the time I was still in school, there were only 10 available and I’m still looking forward to read the remaining 4.

Three days ago I downloaded an eBook of her 11th novel, Remember When. And I ove it.

Last night I downloaded Double Standards but I’m currently reading Whitney, My Love. hehehe..

Time To Let Go. My favorite song.

Posted in Music on April 18, 2008 by yhat

I dont see the smile you used to give to me
I dont see the same in your eyes
I dont know what is happening to us
I’m losing you forever so fast

It’s time to let the pieces of a broken heart
There’s no mending, there’s no brand new start
Oh maybe why we have to face the truth
I’m losing you and theres nothing I can do

CHORUS:
(maybe) its time to let go, a time to move on
(maybe) its time to forget what we have shared
Isn’t easy for you
(I cant find my life) in getting over all the days
we used to say I love You

Tomorrow is the lonely day that I must face
To start and get back on my feet would be a waste
Oh how can I true live without your love
My life without you is not a life at all

[Repeat CHORUS]

There’ll be many questions (many questions)
lifted in my mind
I cant find the answers by oh by
but I know it is true, it is time to let go

The Bucket List

The Bucket List

This movie is now showing and though it wasn’t what I expected, I still categorized this film under my OK-Films list.

Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) and Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) are diagnosed with terminal illnesses. Edward and Carter shared a hospital room and became friends. Both aware of their situation, they decided to do things they ever wanted to do before they die. And so the story of Bucket List begins..

Think I should make my own bucketlist now. :)

Lovers

Lovers

It was more than a year since Korean drama had my attention. It was Jewel in the Palace that keeps me in my apartment during its time slot. I was sort of addicted to that series and it was the time I started fantacizing Ji Jin-Hee, unfortunately he’s no longer available by that time so I made kilig myself instead of Lee Young-Ae and Ji Jin-Hee’s love team. :)

Now, here comes Lovers. I wasn’t really minding this when I first saw it on local television since I’m not really into Korean series. But because of how seemingly funny the characters were when I watched a couple of scenes, I watched it the next night.

The story of this new adapted Korean Drama here in my country, that would be Philippines, is about Jarred (Lee Seo Jin) who grew up from an orphanage and became a right-hand gangster with a stone face and Jackie (Kim Jung Eun) who came from a happy family and became a successful plastic surgeon with a happy face. Go figure.

I did a little research about it and learned that these two characters are actually real life lovers.

Two for the Dough

Posted in Book on April 3, 2008 by yhat
two for the dough
I just finished reading another Stephanie Plum’s bounty hunting novel. Janet Evanovich is the author of this book and has read one of her works already (One For The Money) which is still a Stephanie Plum Novel.
Stephanie is the main character who takes a bounty hunting job. She always teams up along the way with Joe Morelli who happens to be her on-and-off “boyfriend”. There are also fun characters in the story that you really would laugh hard out of their personality. There’s Grandma Mazur who likes tagging on Stephanie’s back during her bounty hunting moments. And Lula, a retired ho who owns a corner and loves to scare people with her big ass. There’s also Stephanie’s mother who would invite a lunatic inside their house just to have some of her creampies and start discussing Stephanie’s empty slash screwed slash pity love life.
Try reading one and you’ll have fun for sure. ;)

The Spiderwick Chronicles

This is another movie that I would surely check out and hopefully watch on the big screen.

The adventure starts when Jared, his twin brother Simon (both played byFreddie Highmore), and older sister Mallory (Sarah Bolger) move intoa ramshackle country house with their newly divorced mom (Mary-LouiseParker). The estate once belonged to their great-great-uncle, ArthurSpiderwick (David Strathairn), a naturalist whose field researchrevealed some unexpected new species: fairies, goblins and the like.

Shown above: Freddie Highmore finds himself face-to-face with the terrible ogre Mulgarath (Nick Nolte).
